Exciting and Dynamic, African Art Is the Future

I was invited by the Financial Times to contribute an editorial about the state of the African art market in spring 2015.

Pliny the Elder’s dictum that there is “always something new out of Africa” has been repeated among 'Africa-boosters' ad nauseam.
I prefer “Africa is the future”. The art world, it seems, is beginning to catch up.
